Amilla Maldives invites guests to experience “Around the World in Wonder”, a vibrant celebration of global culture, curiosity, and joy.
Inspired by Jules Verne’s Around the World in 80 Days, guests will journey across the globe, exploring a new country each day through its flavours, rhythms, and traditions. As in the original tale, the adventure begins and ends in the United Kingdom, taking an Amilla twist as it visits the Maldives, Spain, Italy, France, Argentina, Japan, China, India, Egypt, Brazil, the United States, and Singapore, coming full circle on New Year’s Eve as the world gathers in wonder.
Amilla’s 11th anniversary on 21 December adds a Maldives touch, with island-wide celebrations including guided tours, tree planting, coconut painting, Maldivian cooking demonstrations, and a festive cocktail and cake-cutting ceremony. The Tree Lighting Ceremony on 23 December brings an Italian touch with a Venetian celebration, featuring mask making, Viennese waltz, wine tasting, the Venetian Masquerade Ball, and the Treasure of the Sea dinner.
On 24 December, France is celebrated with the Dance of the Can Can, gingerbread house making, mime face painting, a Christmas Eve buffet, and aerial hoop performance. Christmas Day, 25 December, honours Argentina with Santa’s arrival, a festive brunch with tango flair, dance workshops, magic shows, and the fiery tango dinner show.
New Year’s Eve, 31 December, marks the pinnacle of the season with the Around the World in a Cocktail party and the spectacular Global Carnival Event, featuring the Hamilton Band with soaring vocals, thunderous bongo beats, electrifying saxophone, acrobats, and fire dancers. The night culminates in the ultimate countdown, followed by the after party, and ushering in 2026 with energy, music, and celebration.
