Women face various struggles with career progression, mentorship, as well as parenting difficulties that can affect their professional development. Aiken Spence Hotels and Resorts, Maldives recognizes the importance of acknowledging and discussing these hardships faced by women on this year's World Women's Day.
The Learning and Development team of Aitken Spence, Maldives sector organized the event under the topic "Significance of mental health and well-being in women." The event took place at Adaaran Prestige Vadoo and Adaaran Select Hudhuran-Fushi, with other properties under the Aitken Spence wing joining virtually. The program aimed to raise awareness of the biases that women may encounter in society while providing strategies and inspiration to tackle mental health constraints, challenges, and obstacles.
The program was led by Professional Psychologist and lecturer Dr. Kalhari Pitigala, who facilitated interactive and engaging discussions. The event was designed to provide the perfect learning ground to address the challenges faced by women.
Aitken Spence celebrates the diversity of its work culture and strives to support and strengthen its diverse community at work. This project has provided better ways to achieve this goal.
