Cathay Pacific Airways Celebrates 5 Years of Service in Maldives

Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific Airways is celebrating 5 years of service in the Maldives this month. 


"We are very elated that in the last five years we have been able to offer quintessential travel experience to our passengers travelling to and from the Maldives based on our service ethos Service Straight from the Heart. We endeavour to continue and enhance the overall travel experience for our customers." Said Mr. Mark Sutch, the Regional General Manager of Cathay Pacific for South Asia, the Middle East and Africa, sharing his views on this occasion.


"Owing to our strong network, for our customers from Male we offer seamless connections to Mainland China, Japan and Australia. The Maldives is a popular tourist destination and we also see a big influx of inbound tourists from these counties. With the support of our ground handling partners and agencies, we are happy to celebrate this milestone and committed to continue to deliver a premium travel experience to our customers at every step."


Cathay Pacific Airways commenced its flights on 27 October 2013 from Hong Kong to Male and Male to Hong Kong with four flights a week. Since then, the airline has been instrumental in connecting passengers from across the Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon network into the Maldives. 


The airline operates the Airbus A330-300 aircraft featuring the award-winning fully flat-bed Business Class seats, convenient Premium Economy class seats together with ergonomically designed Economy Class seats.
