Ooredoo Maldives Launches the Dhivehi Version of "My Ooredoo App

Ooredoo Maldives in partnership with Academy Dhivehi Language has launched the Dhivehi version of its first self-care application "My Ooredoo App".


The Dhivehi version of the application was officially launched by Minister of Home Affairs Azlee Ahmed in a ceremony held at Central Hotel in the capital city last Wednesday . 


According to Ooredoo, the app provides customers direct access to view account balance, pay bills, recharge prepaid accounts, activate other services, and access promotions through their Ooredoo accounts from their smartphones at any time. 


"As the role of digital technologies become more and more significant, it is of crucial importance to develop content in local languages." Said Ooredoo CEO Najib Khan speaking at the ceremony. 


"Its a proud moment for our company as we launch the Dhivehi version of My Ooredoo App, with the aim to make services more accessible and easier to use across local communities throughout the Maldives. We are grateful for our close partners at Dhivehibahuge Ekedamee for their wonderful support towards this important initiative."


Ooredoo said it hopes to extend the convenience of its self-care application to more customers, by enabling customers to enjoy the entire experience in local Dhivehi language. Ooredoo also noted it will continue to collaborate with local partners and developers to promote localised digital content, as part of its efforts to support a Digital Maldives.
