National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) meets with Ministry of Transport

National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM)s officials have met with Ministry of Transport to discuss about the current regulations related to marine industry.

Minister of State for Transport Hon Ahmed Adil participated in the meeting which took place at the ministry on 13th June.

The executive board of National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM)s management had earlier met with Minister Aishath Nahula with regard to Maritime Safety Campaign "Stay Safe Afloat" and shared concerns of having the present regulations amended with modern day facilities and services available on boats.

The Minister ensured her support and as a result, State Minister and NBAM have started working together in sharing opinions on how these amendments can be brought for the present regulations. 

National Boating Association of Maldives was formed in 2007 with the aim of  developing and promoting for Marine Industry of Maldives. NBAM annually conducts a socialize exhibition "Maldives Marine Expo" allowing businesses to engage and network while Maldives Boating Awards has been held annually since  2013.
