AMMARI carries out a maritime program to create awareness amongst the youth

Association of Maldives Maritime Industry (AMMARI) has carried out a special program for the development of the maritime industry, to create awareness amongst the youth, and provide opportunities for those interested in the field.


The one-day long program was held at Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) with the participation of over 40 students. 

According to AMMARI, the main objective of this program was to share information about the international shipping industry as well as to introduce the vast job opportunities available in this field.

President of AMMARI, Mohamed Zaid revealed that more of these awareness programs have been planned, targeted for A level students and one is in talks to be held at Villa International High School in the near future as well.

He further added that students who attended this program would have a full grasp on what the maritime industry has to offer.

Industry professionals including, Captain Abdul Majeed Abdul Kareem, Captain Mohamed Zaid and Captain Mohamed Nazim addressed at the program.
