Good stories surprise us. They make us think, feel, relate and understand. They stick in our minds and help us remember ideas and concepts in a way that numbers and text on a slide with a bar graph dont. This is the future of marketing and a tool to sustain disappearing culture and heritages.
MATATO together with Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) will be having the first ever PATA Academy in Maldives from 12 to 13 July at Bandos Island Resort, this will be a two day training camp with world renowned branding experts and award-winning story tellers. This training is targeted at marketing and branding executives on how to create stories to enhance brand identities. The training boot camp will explore
 innovative ideas and opportunities that connects brands with people.


The training titled "Exploring the Art of Storytelling" will feature speakers such as Kyle Sandiland - Canadian award-winning Director and Cinematographer; Matt Gibson - President of Professional Travel Bloggers Association; Trevor Weltman - Head of Growth at Triip.me; Dung Mos Dang - Founder of Scott Experience and Dr Mario Hardy - CEO PATA.
The programme — the first PATA Human Capacity Building Programme to be conducted outside its home base of Thailand. The programme, based on the successful PATA Academy event held in December last year at the associations Engagement Hub in Bangkok, delivers an intensive and interactive training programme incorporating a series of classroom interactions conducted by leading travel industry experts coupled with practical activities, group assignments and networking opportunities.
Participation costs USD 399, but MATATO members are eligible for a 10 percent discount while students are given a 30 percent discount. As a limited number seats is available, registration will be confirmed on first-come-first serve basis.
