Gear up for Ooredoo Color Run Weekend in Addu City!

Ooredoo Maldives invites you to join the festivities of Ooredoo Color Run and its partnering events this weekend, in the beautiful city of Addu.

 

Gudi Mahaasamaa (Kite Festival)

Venue: S. Hithadhoo Stage Area

Timing: 08:00 hrs 10:00 hrs on Friday, 28th June 2019

 

The weekends festivities begin with a Gudi Mahaasamaa (Kite Festival) on Friday morning. Open for everyone, the festival includes a number of fun activities for the entire family such as kite flying, kite making workshop, games for children and a special display by Maldives Police Services.

 

Ooredoo will also be opening up the chance to get some last moment kits for Ooredoo Color Run Addu at the event, on a first come, first served basis.

 

 

Ooredoo Color Run Addu

Gathering Point: S. Hithadhoo Stage Area

Timing: 15:30 hrs 18:00 hrs on Friday, 28th June 2019

 

The excitement of Ooredoo Color Run hits Addu City on Friday afternoon. A simple 5K with lots of color and non-stop fun, the run is open for everyone over the age of six. Each kilometre covered during the run will be rewarded with a burst of color powder at the color station. As the run is not a timed event, participants can choose to walk, jog, run or dance to the finish line, where their efforts will be celebrated in style.

 

Twitsaafu Addu

Venue: Across Addu City

Timing: 15:00 hrs 18:00 hrs on Saturday, 29th June 2019

 

Ooredoo is also joining Twitsaafu to host an Addu Edition on Saturday morning. The opening ceremony will be held at Hithadhoo Stage Area, with clean-up points being spread out across the city. Twitsaafu is a volunteer led clean-up movement that began with a single tweet earlier this month. Following multiple events in Male and Hulhumale, it is now expanding in horizons to additional areas of the Maldives, starting with the event in Addu City on Saturday. The movements key focus lies towards facilitating a solution for the trash issues that are prevalent in the Maldives, in order to preserve the natural beauty and resources of the islands. Additionally, it aims to create a generation that is mindful of the world around us and works towards establishing environment friendly practices within the community.
