Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa has partnered with Parley Maldives for the Ocean, a leading environmental organisation, this June. Initiated by Parley Maldives, along with the support of MATI and Maldives Government, this collaboration aims to drive sustainable change and promote the conservation of marine ecosystems in the Maldives.

As part of this collaboration, all stakeholders in the tourism industry, including Hideaway will work together to implement various initiatives that focus on reducing plastic pollution, protecting coral reefs, and preserving the natural beauty of the Maldives' pristine ocean environment. The joint efforts will include beach clean-ups, educational programs, and the implementation of sustainable practices within the resort.

Hideaway is committed to operating as an eco-friendly establishment, having already stepped away from single-use plastic. This collaboration with Parley Maldives for the Ocean further strengthens their sustainability efforts. By integrating Parley's innovative solutions and expertise, the resort aims to minimise its ecological footprint while offering guests an unforgettable, environmentally responsible experience.

The resort-initiated clean-up dives, talks on conserving the marine environment, and reef clean-ups involving the inhouse guests and team members. Additionally, as the resort is famous for its exquisite pristine beach on the large island, the team and guests took part in a beach clean-up as well.

The partnership between Parley Maldives for the Ocean and Hideaway represents a significant step towards creating a more sustainable future for the Maldives' marine ecosystems. Through their collective actions, both organisations strive to inspire other industry players, local communities, and travellers to embrace sustainable practices and become stewards of the ocean.
