The North Kaafu Zone Final of the Tekkers Dhiraagu Resort Cup 2025 concluded in spectacular fashion on 31st October 2025 at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa, delivering an electrifying night of football, celebration, and sportsmanship.

The evening began with a grand opening ceremony as the finalist teams walked into the arena to the iconic FIFA anthem, followed by player greetings led by the chief guests. A motivating opening speech was delivered by Sheraton Maldives’ HR Director, Hassan Shareef, who highlighted the unity, talent, and spirit exhibited throughout the zone. To mark the official kickoff of the final, the chief guests performed a ball signing ceremony, signalling the start of the much-anticipated match.

The final brought together Joy Island Maldives and Hilton Maldives Amingiri in a tightly fought battle. Joy Island struck first, taking a 1–0 lead in the first half, but Hilton responded brilliantly by equalizing in the final five seconds of the half, sending the match into halftime at 1–1.

The second half saw intense midfield battles, strong defending, and numerous fouls, yet neither team managed to find the winning goal. With full-time ending in a draw, the champions were decided by a penalty shootout.

In a nerve-racking finish, Joy Island’s goalkeeper pulled off two crucial saves, while Hilton’s keeper saved one, securing a 4–2 penalty victory — crowning Joy Island Maldives as the North Kaafu Zone Champions 2025.
