MTCC completes construction of a harbour in A.A. Himandhoo

The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc (MTCC) has successfully completed the construction of a harbour in Himandhoo, Alif Alif Atoll. 

The project, which was awarded by the Ministry of National Planning and Development in March 2019, was subsequently mobilized in April 2019. 

Under this project, MTCC completed 28,030 cubic meters of dredging and excavation; the construction of a 372 meter quay wall; a 405 meter breakwater and 141 meter revetment. The construction of a bridge; a ramp and a 3meter width concrete jetty were also undertaken. Additionally, the project oversaw installation of street lights and 1,750 square meters of slab on grade paved area. 

The project, valued at MVR. 47.1 million, was completed on 20th April 2020.
