Angsana Velavaru, an all-inclusive premium resort nestled in South Nilandhe Atoll, played host to the thrilling Grand Finale of the Hybrid FX Mueen Futsal Fiesta 2024 on Sunday, March 31.  The event was graced by the presence of Ali Ashfaq, hailed as the undisputed legendary Football King of the Maldives, adding prestige to an already exhilarating occasion.  Ali Ashfaq has one of the most hat-tricks in 21st century, the third on the list with 35, next to Lionel Messi with 57, and Cristiano Ronaldo with 63.

The highlight of the finale saw Team Ifthar clinching victory with an impressive 8 goals, securing their position as the Champions of the tournament.  Wind Warriors showcased commendable skill and sportsmanship, emerging as the first runner-up with 3 goals.

The Awarding Ceremony, graced by esteemed sponsors and dignitaries, recognised outstanding performances and contributions to the tournament.  Notably, the top scorer title was claimed by Ahmed Shifan from Team Wind Warriors, while Mohamed Areej of Team Ifthar was celebrated as the Best Goalkeeper.

Among the top players honored were Vishaah Shareef, Ali Nadheem, and Ali Laamiu Shareef from Team Ifthar, showcasing exceptional talent and dedication.  The prestigious King of the Tournament title was bestowed upon Vishaah Shareef, further solidifying Team Ifthar's dominance in the competition.

Umar Mufeed of Team Turf King was presented with the esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award, acknowledging his remarkable commitment to sports at Angsana Velavaru, with a special mention for being the oldest participant in the Futsal Fiesta at the age of 54.

On April 1, Ali Ashfaq himself formed a team together with the associates of Angsana Velavaru and had a friendly match with the champions, Team Ifthar.
