The Thailand–Maldives Business Matching Event concluded successfully on 4th May 2025, marking a significant milestone in the growing economic and trade relations between the two nations. The event, held at Jen Hotel, Male’ brought together over 30 Thai companies participated including top-level executives, entrepreneurs, government officials, and trade representatives from both countries.
Organized by Thai Trade Center, Chennai, India the overseas representative office of the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, Thailand, the event served as a dynamic platform to foster dialogue, explore new trade and investment opportunities, and forge meaningful partnerships across key sectors such as, wellness, food & beverage, fresh fruits & vegetable, and household products.
In a series of pre-arranged business meetings, companies from both countries exchanged ideas, showcased products and services, and discussed potential collaborations.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Chek Jeenaphan, Director, Thai Trade Center, Chennai, India emphasized Thailand’s commitment to deepening its trade relations with the Maldives. “This event marks a significant step forward in creating long-term, sustainable partnerships that benefit both our economies,” he said.
