Island Aviation Services Limited (IASL), the operator of the Maldives' national airline "Maldivian," has announced that it has successfully obtained the EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) Part 145 certification. This achievement marks a significant milestone, making IASL the first company in the Maldives to receive this approval, further enhancing its aircraft maintenance capabilities. This is the 12th Part 145 approval granted to IASL, joining certifications from the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority and 11 other international aviation authorities.

IASL has been a trusted maintenance provider for international airlines flying into Velana International Airport (MLE) and is now ready to extend its services to even more global airline partners.
“This certification will significantly support the growth of airlines and passengers alike,” said Mohamed Hassan, Director of Engineering Operations. “Our airline partners will benefit from certified line maintenance services and on-site support, ensuring quick and efficient resolutions to any aircraft issues. This achievement underscores our commitment to excellence and our ability to meet global aviation standards. Additionally, it creates new career opportunities for Maldivian aviation engineers and technicians.”
