Over 850 Emirates commercial team members convened in Dubai for the Passenger Sales Conference 2024, themed ‘Next Era – Equip, Embrace, Excel.’ This marked the airline’s largest-ever commercial gathering, designed to engage and inspire teams as Emirates prepares for substantial growth through fleet and network expansion.
The four-day event featured a robust lineup of speakers, including aviation and tourism industry leaders and motivational authors. HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum presented the prestigious Chairman Sales Award, recognizing individual and team achievements within the commercial organization.
Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, outlined Emirates' ambitious strategic growth plans, emphasizing the need to recalibrate strategies, seize emerging opportunities, and leverage advanced technologies. He highlighted the airline's resilience in overcoming business challenges and its commitment to align with Dubai’s D33 ambitions.
Day one included a town hall session with Sir Tim Clark, followed by Kazim’s vision for the commercial organization. Leaders such as Adel Al Redha and Michael Doersam provided updates on operations and financial strategies. On day two, Nabil Sultan discussed Passenger Sales Strategic Priorities, with Kazim participating in an interactive Q&A. Discussions also covered revenue management, loyalty, and a fireside chat on the Emirates-flydubai partnership.
On day three, Boutros Boutros focused on the iconic Emirates brand and its role in reaching new audiences, while updates on Al Maktoum International Airport's master plans were presented. Participants also enjoyed keynote sessions from best-selling authors discussing the power of storytelling and preparation for challenges.
The final day centered on Dubai’s future initiatives, with His Excellency Helal Saeed Al Marri and Hoor Al Khaja discussing strategic growth opportunities to enhance the city’s competitiveness. Emirates reported record profits and revenue in the last financial year, driven by strong demand for air travel. To uphold its ‘Fly Better’ promise, the airline plans to refurbish over 200 A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft as part of a multi-billion-dollar investment. Additionally, it has expanded its network with new routes to Bogota and Madagascar, deploying refurbished aircraft with upgraded cabins, including Premium Economy, to 18 cities.
