Serene. Opulent. Positively spellbinding. There truly aren't enough words in the dictionary to describe Sea, an aptly named underwater restaurant in the Maldives. Part of the Anantara Kihavah Villas resort, Sea offers visitors up-close and personal views of surrounding coral reefs and marine life — no scuba fins or oxygen mask required. The restaurant's expansive, kaleidoscopic windows blanket the space in a dreamy turquoise color, making for an aquatic dining experience Disney's Princess Ariel would definitely approve of.

As for the menu, Sea serves breakfast, Lunch and dinner for quite the pretty penny, as one might expect of such a luxurious destination. Breakfast rings up at $200 per person, lunch will set you back around $295, and dinner can cost up to nearly $400, depending on how many courses you prefer. But hey, I suppose it's the price you must pay to say you ate Maldivian lobster while the very same crustacean swam by outside the window by your table.

Needless to say, Sea is one big Instagram photo opp waiting to happen, as evidenced by the multitude of pictures shared by travelers who've been lucky enough to dine there. Whether you have a trip to the Maldives in the books or simply enjoy gawking over unreal travel destinations that make your budget whimper with despair (the latter sums me up, personally), you can keep reading to admire all the best snapshots of Sea's jaw-dropping views.
