Maldives main seaplane operator, Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) has welcomed two aircraft together to its fleet for the airlines current expansion drive for the first time.

On Friday evening, two Twin Otter air crafts landed at Velana International Airport (VIA). With the fleet expansion, 55 aircraft will operate across the country, making TMA the largest sea operator in the Maldives.

The airline stated, "We started with 2 Twin Otters almost 27 years ago and have now grown to become a massive operation of 55 twin otters today. Our heartfelt gratitude to our amazing #Tmateam and #TMAPartners for the invaluable support, camaraderie and continued patronage."

TMA has played a pivotal role in developing the tourism infrastructure in the Maldives and the latest addition to its fleet is in line with its commitment to serve the growing demand with the new upcoming resorts and also provide added flexibility to all its partner resorts.
