Velaa Private Island to donate Masks and Gloves to Narudhoo Island

Velaa Private Island has announced to donate essential supplies to Narudhoo located in Shaviyani Atoll due to the spread of COVID-19 in the island. 

According to the local media, Narudhoo Social Supports focal point and the Councils in-charge Moosa Hussainfulhu informed that essential supplies used for protection are included in the donation by Velaa. 

Speaking to Sun.mv, Moosa said, "Velaa has pledged to provide masks, gloves and other such items. We have yet to receive any more details. They made the pledge during a conference call with council members today." 

Although the number of supplies and other details are unknown, Velaa will be providing with much needed goods for the people of Narudhoo, informs the islands Council President.

Owners of Velaa Private Island have recently donated various medical equipments including, five ventilators, 10,000 test kits, 100,000 face masks, 200 respirators and 500 personal protective equipment (PPE) kits supporting the governments efforts to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 in the community.
