SATA 2018 concludes Evaluations in Maldives and Heads to Srilanka.

The Jury of South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) has finished conducting the evaluations of nominees from the Maldives at Mookai Hotel, Male from 18th - 23rd June 


According to the event organiser Highrise, the expert panel next head to Colombo, where they will conduct the evaluations of nominees from Srilanka. The evaluations will be held in Ramada Colombo while an All Women multi-national Jury consisting of experts from the industry will be allowing each nominee todo a 10 minutes presentation about the property and services offered. 


Sri Lankan brands as nominees include The Kingsbury,  Cinnamon, Heritance, Uga Escapes, Royal Palms, Jetwing, Movenpick, Sun Aqua, Centara, RIU, Saman Villas, Ishq Villa, Ramada, Anantaya, Grand Hotel, Grand Kandyan, Find MyFare, Nivadu Deals, Casons,  Lanka Sawari and BMICH. 


SATA have nominees from 5 countries which are Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, Sri Lanka and India while the evaluations will be carried out in Male City, Colombo, Bangalore, New Delhi, Kathmandu and Paro.


SATA is the most prestigious award for travel and tourism stakeholders in the South Asia region. The brand is the first of its kind with affiliations from regional associations ensuring the process to be done within a smooth and having a transparent procedure. The Grand Finale of SATA 2018 will be held in the business capital of India "Mumbai", from 14th - 15th September.
