Mohamed Afzal also known as Apo, has been listed amongst the Top Young Entrepreneurs of the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2020, becoming the sole Maldivian to be featured in this category of the widely distributed magazine.

Co-founders of Rage Coffee Apo, age 29, and Jevin Singh, 25, reached the top 30 Under 30 2020 in the Retail and E-Commerce category. Rage Coffee uses technology to determine their customers preferences and minimize waste to keep its coffee affordable.

Currently, there are 12 outlets of the coffee brand in Malaysia and customers can pre-order coffee for pickup, or request delivery through the startup's app.

Selected from over 3,500 nominations, Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia was described as a group of individuals "disrupting industries and tackling major global issues." In addition, these candidates were researched by a team of reporters and vetted by an A-list panel of judges who are leaders in their industries.

Apo had previously worked for various local media companies as a developer before moving to Malaysia and launching the coffee chain along with his business partner, Jevin Singh.

Commenting on his placement in the list, Abo said, "Any young person would succeed if they worked hard enough." He also added, "This, I believe, is an achievement for the young men and women of Maldives who are working hard to realize their dreams. Success is yours to have if you work hard with perseverance and hope. I have proved that to you," speaking to the local media.
