Ooredoo Color Run is a simple 5K with lots of color and
non-stop fun, which is open for everyone over the age of six. Each kilometre
covered during the run will be rewarded with a burst of color powder at the
color station. As the run is not a timed event, participants can choose to
walk, jog, run or dance to the finish line, where their efforts are celebrated
in style with color throws and finisher
medals. The run will be held on Fri, 28th June 2019 from 4.00 6.00
pm, starting and ending at Hithadhoo Stage Area.
In addition to the Run, Ooredoo is also hosting a special
Kite Festival from 8.00 am 10.00 am on Fri, 28th June 2019 at
Hithadhoo Stage Area. Open for all, the festival includes a number of fun
activities for the entire family such as kite flying, kite making workshop,
games for children and a special display by Maldives Police Services. If there
are any kits left after EXPO, Ooredoo will also be opening up the chance for
those who were unable to register earlier. The remaining kits will be available
for purchase at the Kite Festival, on a first come, first served basis.
Ooredoo is also joining forces with Twitsaafu to host an
Addu Edition this weekend; on 29th June from 4.00 6.00 pm.
Twitsaafu is a volunteer led clean-up movement that began with a single tweet
earlier this month. Following multiple events in Male and Hulhumale, it is
now expanding in horizons to additional areas of the Maldives, starting with
the event in Addu City on Saturday. The movements key focus lies towards
facilitating a solution for the trash issues that are prevalent in the
Maldives, in order to preserve the natural beauty and resources of the islands.
Additionally, it aims to create a generation that is mindful of the world
around us and works towards establishing environment friendly practices within
the community.
Ooredoo Color Run in Addu is supported by a great team of
partners, including Ministry of Youth, Sports & Community Empowerment, Unix
