Maldivian can Travel to UAE Without Visa at the Beginning Next Year

Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has announced that both the government of Maldives and United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reached a new visa agreement which will allow Maldivians to enter United Arab Emirates (UAE) visa-free starting sometime at the beginning next year.


The Foreign Minister who is currently on a visit to the Gulf Kingdom revealed that he called on the UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and briefed him on the policies of the new Maldives government.


The Minister further revealed that discussions have been held to strengthen the bilateral ties, as well as increasing trade and investment.
