Thailand calls off visa on arrival for 18 countries, exempts visa for another 3

Thailands interior minister announces the cancellation of visa on-arrival for 18 countries and visa exemption for three more countries as a measure to halt the spread of COVID-19.

The 18 destinations include, Bulgaria, Bhutan, China (including Taiwan), Cyprus, Ethiopia, Fiji, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Malta, Mexico, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and Vanuatu.

Previously, nationals of 18 countries or regions could use their passports or travel documents to apply for Visa on Arrival (VoA) at Thai immigration checkpoints. Visa exemption will be cancelled for South Korea, Italy and Hong Kong, informed the minister.
