Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) will be launching the second edition of Maldives Travel Awards Peoples Edition on 20th June 2018.

Through Maldives Travel Awards Peoples Edition is an award given by MATATO with the intention of recognising the professionals contributing to the growth of the industry, to acknowledge the talent, dedication and their achievements.

According to MATATO, 05 individuals will be selected and awarded this year based on their contribution to the industry. Winners will be chosen by a panel of veterans, in sectors across the industry, and the organisation believes that the recipients of this award will be a testament to the country, of the success of this industry.

MATATO will be hosting a cocktail reception for media and Travel Awards Partners at One & Only Reethi Rah.

Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) is a non-profit organisation that has been working the last ten years to foster and promotes SMEs of local travel agents.

The association has engaged themselves in various activities over the years from advocacy, training, and workshops, travel trade fairs in many parts of the world, media FAM trips, government lobbying, recognition programs such as Awards, travel conferences and forums, publications, destination marketing, whistle-blower programs, representation and much more.
