Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) assures all customers, understanding
that COVID-19 has affected the daily lives of most. MIB reveals that they are aware
of the difficulty of all going through both in terms of the potential economic
slowdown and its trickledown effect on businesses and individuals.
While fully support the initiatives laid out by the
Government and MMA, MIB is working closely with all relevant parties to
finalize support programs to help everyone during this difficult period.
This announcement was made primarily to assure customers who are feeling the effect of this economic impact in business and home financing. If any customers feel that any support is needed from MIB, they are welcome to send in requests via the COVID-19 Business Support Application Form to the email address covidsupport@mib.com.mv. As soon as the receipt of application is received, the banks Business Team will contact those to find a workable solution based on the need and MIBs internal assessment. For consumer and trade murabahah customers, Islamic bank is
identifying possible options available to provide a wide-ranging solution that
can give some relief for those who are in need of support during this period.
MIB informs that they will continue to update customers on
