Oaga Art Resort of Maldives is thrilled to announce the well-deserved promotion of Laura Pagano to the position of Spa, Health & Youth Manager (SHY Manager). A seasoned wellness professional with a deep passion for holistic healing, Laura brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her new role.

Laura’s journey with Oaga began even before the resort’s doors opened. As Spa Manager, she played a pivotal role in shaping Hoba Spa’s unique identity, in collaboration with Hoba Spa’s Consultant and Maldivian Healer Aishath Zulfishan (Xubba), infusing Xubba’s deep understanding of traditional Maldivian healing practices with her own dedication to personalised wellness experiences and deep understanding of modern-day spa therapies. Her unwavering commitment to her team’s growth and development has fostered a nurturing environment where creativity and innovation thrive, perfectly aligning with Oaga’s philosophy of organic community growth.

Laura’s influence extends beyond the spa walls. When the opportunity arose to revitalise the resort’s Fiyoh Kids’ Club, she stepped up with characteristic passion and initiative. Her dedication to creating a fun and enriching space for children, coupled with her natural ability to connect with people of all ages, made her the perfect choice to oversee both the Hoba Spa and Fiyoh Kids’ Club under the newly established SHY Manager role.

“Laura embodies the very essence of Oaga,” says Manal Nashid, Director at Oaga. “Her ability to connect with guests, inspire her team, and curate transformative wellness experiences is well appreciated. This promotion is not just a recognition of her talent, but a celebration of her unwavering dedication to our community and her commitment to nurturing the wellbeing of every individual who walks through the door.”

With Laura at the helm, Oaga Art Resort embarks on a new chapter of holistic harmony. Her vision for the SHY department promises to weave together the threads of spa therapies, movement practices, and mindful living, creating a tapestry of wellbeing that caters to the needs of guests of all ages. In fact, Laura’s dedication extends beyond human guests, even fostering a caring community for the island’s resident feline companions, as she tends to the island cats who reside near the spa lobby area.
