Contract signed by MWSC to develop water and sewerage system in four islands

Male Water and Sewage Company (MWSC) has signed a contract with Ministry of Planning and Infrastructure to construct water and sewerage systems in four islands which include, R. Kinolhas, B. Goidhoo, N. Maalhendhoo and N. Kudafaru.

The installation of RO Plant and Storage Tank, development and design of water and sewerage network and lastly, the connection services to the households in the islands will be executed by MWSC. 22-month timeline had been given as signed on the contract of the four islands to complete the work.

Managing Director Adam Azim signed the contracts on behalf MWSC meanwhile Director General Fathimath Shaana Farooq signed on behalf of the Ministry.

MVR 42.9 million will be spent for the project at Maalhendhoo, while MVR 38.2 million will be covered for the project in Kudafaru, in addition to MVR 36 million and MVR 46.3 million being spent on Kinolhudhoo and Goidhoo projects.
