GoAir relaunches flight services to the Maldives

GoAir has relaunched their operations to the Maldives starting from today, 1st December 2019, after the halt of services in July 2019.

GoAir will be commencing direct flights to Male' from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Tourism Minister Ali Waheed attended the inauguration ceremony held at Velana International Airport along with officials from Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) and GoAir.

Tourism Minister Ali Waheed emphasized the good relationship between the government of India and Maldives, and said, "With GoAir we can breach the gaps between both countries, today is an exciting day for the tourist arrivals from India as well as for the local community here in Maldives. We have been waiting to visit these cities (Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru) in a better alternative direct route, I wish all the best to GoAir."

Flights between Mumbai-Male-Mumbai will be on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Flights between Delhi-Male-Delhi will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. And flights between Bengaluru-Male-Bengaluru will be on Wednesdays and Sundays.

GoAir launched its operations in November 2005 as a low-cost carrier to commoditize air travel across India at a marginal fare. Today, the airline operates to 27 destinations across the Indian subcontinent and 9 international business metros and leisure destinations.
