Cathay Pacific Appoints Ace Travels Maldives as General Sales Agent (GSA) in Maldives

Cathay Pacific has appointed Ace Travels Maldives as the new General Sales Agent (GSA)  in the Maldives.

 

A ceremony held at Ace Travels office this morning where Vishnu Rajendran, the Country Lead for Sri Lanka and the Maldives at Cathay Pacific, revealed that Ace Travels was chosen after a rigorous vetting process early this year. He also added that Cathay Pacific would be able to strengthen its position in the Maldives through the expertise of Ace Travels and expand its customer base.


"We started at a very small scale, and now weve expanded to serve all the major airlines operating in the Maldives. I hope that well be able to welcome more airlines to our family," Said Mohamed Firaq, the Managing Director of Ace Travels.


Mr Firaq also noted that the addition of Cathay Pacific would help expand the companys vision of providing world-class options to travellers to and from the Maldives.


Cathay Pacific is an international airline registered and based in Hong Kong, offering scheduled passenger and cargo services to 162 destinations in 42 countries and territories around the world.


The company was founded in Hong Kong in 1946 and remains deeply committed to its home base, making substantial investments to develop Hong Kong as one of the worlds leading international aviation hubs. 


In addition to its fleet of 132 aircraft, these investments include catering and ground-handling companies and the corporate headquarters at Hong Kong International Airport. Cathay Pacific continues to invest heavily in its home city and has another 96 new aircraft due for delivery up to 2019.
