Michelin Starred Chef Dominik Käppeler Brings the Elevated Dining Experience at Lily Beach Resort and Spa

HUVAHENDHOO, MALDIVES, 14 March 2019 On 27th of March to 8th of April 2019, the 30-yearold born from Göppingen Michelin-starred Chef Dominik Käppeler will join forces with Executive Chef Lionel Pean of Lily Beach Resort and Spa to present an exciting series of culinary highlights in the resorts restaurants namely Lily Maa, Tamarind, Les Turquoise DAqua and Vibes Bar.

The main highlight of exquisite five-course dinner night at Les Turquoise DAqua will feature artfully created dishes with bold flavors combined with culinary craftsmanship and wine expertise. The menu has been beautifully paired with quality wines curated by the resorts head sommelier, Joseph Christopher.   

Michelin-starred Chef Dominik Käppeler, being the son of a restaurant owner has developed his passion for cooking during his early years. With his professional debut at Feinkost Käfer in Munich, he rose in 2003 equal to the top league. In the following years, Käppeler developed his personal culinary vision in the upscale gastronomy on Lake Tegernsee. Among its stops are the first addresses in the valley, including the Parkhotel Egerner Höfe, Maiwert's Fährhütte, the Bachmair am See and the Fährhütte am See. Käppeler celebrated his breakthrough as head chef at Schweiger2, where he was personally awarded a Michelin star in 2015 for the first time. Gault & Millau honored his cooking art with 16 points in 2016, the gourmet with 3 of 5 F. An incentive that inspires his first own restaurant project.  He owns a restaurant named Restaurant Showroom known as the culinary show for all the senses and defined as the haven for gourmet lovers in Munich.

Executive Chef Pean has garnered his extensive experience in 14 different countries and worked with the international chain of hotels over 33 years.  His 3-star Michelin restaurant exposures with widely renowned chefs Michel Guérard, Michel Troisgros. Gérald Passédat and Alain Senderens has led him to gain a rich level of confidence and perspective of the culinary world.
