The Maldives has participated in the International
Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) in Cannes, France for the first time in several years.

with tourism industry partners, exhibited at the ILTM which commenced on 2nd
An event organised by Reed Exhibitions, ILTM is a luxury show focusing solely on pre-booked B2B meetings.
Celebrating their 18th anniversary this year, the ILTM promises to be the largest edition ever held, with more than 5,000 expected to visitors. Over 1,880 companies from eighty countries participated in last years fair, conducting over 72,000 pre-booked appointments.
During the four days of the ILTM, seventeen officials from thirteen companies representing the Maldivian tourism industry will be meeting with industry professionals from this lucrative luxury tourism market.
MMPRC will be utilising this platform to explore means that will further develop and strengthen the presence of the Maldives in the French luxury market.
The Maldives stand, built within a sixty-metre space, showcases colourful displays and light-up boards to accentuate the vibrant natural beauty of the destination. Every co-exhibitor has been allocated a dedicated meeting space, co-branded within the main stand.
ILTM is the second fair in France attended by representatives of the Maldives tourism industry. Maldives participated in IFTM Top Resa earlier this year. MMPRC has participated and represented the Maldives in a total of 23 fairs this year, including ILTM.
Based on arrival figures from January to October 2019, France is ranked in the seventh position amongst the highest performing markets that have come into the Maldives. The French market accounts for 3.5 per cent of the total market share in the first 10 months of the year.
ILTM introduces global travel buyers to an unrivalled collection of international travel experiences. The fair provides a platform for participants to do business and build relationships.
ILTM 2019 marks the launch of ILTMs Year of Health and Wellness, kicking off in the French Riviera in Cannes. ILTM will launch research and gather a community of wellness experts that all draw the same conclusion; in the future, all travel is wellness travel, every trip is expected to enhance the physical, mental and social wellbeing of the traveller, transformation is the very promise of travel, and todays travel brands are the solution to one of the biggest problems of our age.
