Singapore Firm Announce Plans to Develop 5-star Hotel at Rasfannu

Singapore based construction firm, Chang Hua has announced plans to develop a 5-star hotel with 128 rooms, under the Mixed Use Development project near Rasfannu beach.


According to the company, the 5-star hotel will be developed along with a family shopping mall in one of the four luxury towers of the Coral Boulevard which is currently under construction at the western artificial beach of the capital city.


This new five-star hotel will join the few tourist hotels in the capital city, including Hotel Jen, Champa Centra Hotel, Maagiri Hotel and the historic Nasandhura Palace Hotel, which is currently being reconstructed.


According the Maldives Government, Coral Boulevard will be completed by the end of 2020, as per the agreement between the government and Chang Hua Construction.


Chang Hua Construction is also the contractor of the new state-owned, 25-storey Dharumavantha Hospital being developed near Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in Male. The project was awarded to Chang Hua in July 2017.


The firm is also developing a resort in South Ari Atoll. Set to open in 2019, the resort will be managed by global hotel giant Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group as Radisson Blu Resort Maldives.

 

Chang Hua was found by Mr.Li Fei Chang in 1995. The Company is a registered contractor with the Building and Construction Authority CW01-A1.The total contract value of more than S$800 million Singapore dollars had been awarded to the company in the previous years.
