SME Hub Mall, a new shopping destination featuring locally-owned small businesses, celebrates its grand opening in the heart of Malé City. The mall, which officially opened its doors to the public on December 15, 2022, offers a wide range of service offerings for shoppers and supports local entrepreneurship.

Operated and managed by Business Center Corporation (BCC), the SME Hub is an initiative introduced by the Economic Ministry of Maldives, supported by the World Bank as the development partner and Ooredoo Maldives as the technology partner.

The small business mall is a one-stop shop, featuring a café, a reading corner where Maldivian authors contribute to the shelves and a plant shop on the ground floor. The first floor is a food court, filled with 19 food and beverage kiosks, operated by local SMEs.

On the second floor, visitors will find a variety of entertainment and wellness options. The cinema and gaming arcade offer a fun and relaxing atmosphere for visitors, while the indoor recreational services will provide a chance to engage in physical activities. Furthermore, a corner has been prepared for local music artists to showcase their talents in the relaxing ambience of the hub with live music.

The SME Hub is located at Allied Building, Chaandhanee Magu and is open Saturday through Thursday from 0800 hrs to 2300 hrs, and on Friday from 1400 hrs to 2300 hrs.
