Ooredoo Maldives has opened registrations for Colour Run 2018, which will be held on 23rd November.

Ooredoo Colour Run was first held last year in reclaimed suburb Hulhumale. The run garnered much popularity and received a record number of participants for a local run

The annual Ooredoo Colour Run is a five-kilometre run, which aims to promote running as a fun way to achieve a healthy and active lifestyle. The runners are rewarded by a burst of colour powder at the colour station at each kilometre-mark, while local musicians perform to hype up the participants and spectators.

According to Ooredoo stated that runners can choose to purchase their Colour Run Kit of choice, which includes:

- Standard Kit for MVR 50, which includes a bib, t-shirt, and medal for finishers.

- Fun Kit for MVR 200, which includes a bib, t-shirt, medal for finishers, wristband, gym sack, and a paper cap.

As the run is not a timed event, Ooredoo Maldives states that participants can choose to "walk, jog, run or dance" to the finish line, where their efforts are rewarded with colour throws and finisher medals.

Furthermore, a kite festival and a music show are also scheduled for the Colour Run Day. The kite festival will be held in the morning prior to the Colour Run, including fun displays and an exciting competition for children and kite lovers of all ages. Following the Colour Run event, the music show will be held from 8.00 p.m. onwards, featuring artists from the local music industry.

Ooredoo Colour Run EXPO will be held on November 15 and 16, where registered participants can pick up their kits and partake in some fun activities with Colour Run partners.
