Qatar Airways and Maldivian Launch New Interline Partnership for Seamless Travel

Qatar Airways is enhancing its connectivity in the Indian Ocean region by launching a new interline partnership with Maldivian, the national carrier of the Maldives. This collaboration allows customers to seamlessly book flights with both airlines.

Travelers heading to the Maldives can now make a single booking that covers flights with both Qatar Airways and Maldivian. Upon arrival at Velana International Airport, Qatar Airways passengers will be directed to the domestic terminal to board their connecting Maldivian flight.

Thierry Antinori, Chief Commercial Officer of Qatar Airways, stated, “At Qatar Airways, we are committed to expanding our services to provide innovative and engaging travel experiences. With our new interline partnership with Maldivian, we anticipate our passengers will enjoy a smooth start to their vacations and benefit from a range of new travel advantages. We are proud to offer a streamlined booking process that includes both Qatar Airways flights to Male and connecting Maldivian flights to their beachside destinations.”

Ismail Amrah Umar, Chief Commercial Officer of Maldivian, added, “We are excited to announce our interline partnership with Qatar Airways, which will offer our customers seamless connectivity and international baggage allowances within our network of 17 Maldivian destinations. This partnership will provide greater choice and improved access to our expanding route network, aiming to boost tourism to the Maldives and showcase our beautiful islands to travelers worldwide.”

This new partnership provides travelers with more options and competitive airfares, along with coordinated flight schedules. It enables passengers to fly to 17 domestic destinations in the Maldives, including Dharavandhoo, Faresmaathodaa, Funadhoo, Fuvahmulah, Gan, Hanimaadhoo, Ifuru, Kaadedhdhoo, Kadhdhoo, Kooddoo, Maafaru, Maavarulu, Madivaru, and Thimarafushi.
