The Aviation Forum 2025 has been officially announced and will take place on May 27, 2025, at Hulhule’ Island Hotel. This high-level forum will bring together key stakeholders in the aviation sector to engage in critical discussions focused on strengthening and advancing the rapidly growing aviation industry in the Maldives.
The forum has garnered strong endorsements from influential industry bodies, including the Airline Operations Committee (AOC)—a key advocate for aviation operations in the country—as well as the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI), and Maldives Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO).
According to a study conducted by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the Maldivian aviation industry is projected to grow by 154% over the next 20 years, resulting in an estimated 4.7 million additional passenger departures by 2038. If realized, this growth could contribute approximately USD 8 billion to the national GDP and support around 92,000 jobs.
The Aviation Forum is designed to address critical challenges within the aviation industry, focusing on areas such as operations, policy development, safety standards, equipment, and execution involving both public and private entities. It aims to generate actionable solutions and serve as a cornerstone in shaping the future landscape of aviation in the Maldives.
The event is hosted by MEDIUM Events, a comprehensive event management company recognized for organizing industry focused platforms including the Maldives Marine Expo, Build Expo, Maldives Marine Industry Forum, and the Construction Forum. MEDIUM Events remains dedicated to driving meaningful progress and contributing positively to various Maldivian industries.
