As part of InterContinental Hotels Group’s (IHG) Global Customer Appreciation Week (GCAW), three distinguished IHG Hotels & Resorts properties in the Maldives, Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives in South Malé Atoll, InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort on Maamunagau Island, Raa Atoll, and Noku Maldives, a Vignette Collection on Kuda Funafaru Island, Noonu Atoll came together to host a special appreciation evening for their valued partners and customers. The event took place on Thursday, 11th September, at Barceló Nasandhura Malé, celebrating the enduring relationships that have fueled IHG’s success across the Maldives and beyond.
Running from 8 14 September 2025, this year’s Global Customer Appreciation Week carries the theme “On the Move. Leading the Way, Together. The campaign highlights IHG’s commitment to connecting with valued customers, partners, and guests, while strengthening relationships that underpin the group’s global success.
The evening featured a lively quiz competition, engaging invitees with questions about IHG’s prestigious properties in the Maldives as well as the company’s rich brand history. Lucky winners walked away with exclusive prizes, adding a touch of fun and excitement to the celebratory atmosphere.
Mizan Saeed, Director of Sales Maldives for the three resorts, emphasised the significance of the occasion, “This event marked the first time we have brought Noku, InterContinental and Kandooma together to jointly host a gathering of travel agents, destination management companies, tour operators and media. We realised there was considerable cross over among our business partners, so it made sense to unite our efforts and host one impactful event.
Mark Eletr, General Manager of Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives, added “Customer Appreciation Week provides a meaningful opportunity to recognise the vital partnerships that drive our industry. It’s also a chance to gather valuable feedback and plan for future growth. Everyone’s time is precious and by combining our networks, we created one memorable occasion where we could collectively thank our customers.”
This year’s GCAW carried the inspiring theme: “On the Move. Leading the Way.” The theme not only reflects IHG’s expansive global portfolio and its landmark achievement of surpassing 6,000 hotels worldwide, but also highlights the company’s commitment to collaborating with partners and customers to embrace change and drive shared growth.
