Maldives Promoted at TTG Travel Experience Fair 2018

Maldives has recently taken part in one of the largest tourism fairs held in Italy, TTG Travel Experience Fair 2018.

According to Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), more than 37 people and 20 companies across the Maldives tourism sector promoted their products and services at the fair which was held from 10th-12th October.

Visitors have the opportunity to experience the Maldives in virtual reality and see the underwater beauty of the country through VR gear. Visitors also can take a selfie at the stand and post on social media with hashtag #visitmaldives and #TTG2018 to win a surprise gift from the Maldives. They can also have a taste of Maldivian flavours at the stand, which is designed to colourfully display the beauty of the Maldives.

A number of activities were conducted in the fair to promote the slogan of Maldives Sunny Side of Life. In regard to this, visitors had the opportunity to experience the Maldives in virtual reality and see the underwater beauty of the country through VR gear. 

Visitors were also provided with the opportunity to take a selfie at the stand and post on social media with hashtag #visitmaldives and #TTG2018 to win a surprise gift from the Maldives.

Being one of the leading tourism fairs in Italy, TTG Travel Experience is the gateway to the Italian outbound market. The fair provides one of the main B2B tourism marketplaces in Italy to sell tourism products, to network and win new business as well as exchange views and find new ideas.

More than 150 destinations took part in the fair this year. TTG Asia Fair concluded successfully with 1500 tourism leaders, 150 journalists from 90 countries and 300 bloggers attending the event.

Italy is one of the leading tourism markets for the Maldives. In the past year, 88,848 people arrived while this year, till August 69,787 people have visited the Maldives.
