An Indian budget airline, IndiGo Air has decided to add flights
from Maldives to Pune to their routes.
The airline which had only started flights to the Maldives in November
of 2018, IndiGo says that flights between Pune and Velana International Airport
(VIA) will be starting at the end of March, this year. However, the flight to
Pune from VIA will be transit in Bangalore, so says the airline.
Once the flights begin operation on this new route, this would
be the first international flight to land in Pune.
The Indian Airline IndiGo began their flights to the Maldives in
November of 2018. The route was from Cochin to VIA on an Airbus A320, which can
accommodate up to 130 passengers.
