Tourism Minister Ali Waheed has informed that the islands to be leased from Maldives including regions with little to no tourism development for the purpose of establishing resorts will be announced on this Thursday.

The announcement was made by the Minister during a ceremony held at Dharubaaruge, Male City to conclude the Inspection Training Programme. Minister Waheed further expressed that the new islands which will be developed into resorts will be announced during a ceremony to be held in the evening of this coming Thursday.

The Ministry of Tourism plans to keep the public updated on their projects, informs the Minister. Therefore, the methods and procedures of the processes will be highlighted during the event to be held on 12th December.
