Dhigufaru Maldives undergoes renovation to reopen in Summer 2020

Dhigufaru Maldives has revealed plans for its reopening in Summer 2020 after a complete renovation.

The rebuild of the resort will most likely result in the expansion of the room inventory with Water Villas, Pool Water Villas, Presidential Suite and Family Villas to be included on offer for accommodation options.

Nestled on the protected Biosphere reserve of Baa Atoll, Dhigufaru Island meaning "a long reef", can be reached by a 40-minute seaplane flight overseeing the stunning beauty of the Maldivian atolls and the pristine waters of Maldives from the main Velana International Airport.

The resort had initially welcomed its first guests on August 2016, with 40 guest rooms in overall including 30 Beach Villas and 10 Semi-water Villas.

Variety of dining options are available at the three restaurants and bars on the island with their own distinctive character, in addition to the in-villa dining services provided.

Other features of the resort include a dive center and a water sports center offering a wide range of fun activities.

Additionally, Funa Spa offers a variety of treatments and services providing a comprehensive beauty, health and wellbeing experience within a striking island setting.
