The Tekkers Dhiraagu Resort Cup 2025 officially began with a inspiring opening ceremony. Teams entered the field to the FIFA anthem, followed by the Maldivian national anthem, creating a proud and exciting atmosphere.

Mohamed Nashmee Rasheed, Managing Director of Tekkers, gave the opening remarks, welcoming everyone and highlighted the importance of the tournament for local football. He noted that this is the fourth consecutive year the Tekkers Dhiraagu Resort Cup is being held, and expressed pride in how the tournament has grown and brought together players, fans, and communities across the region. The ceremony continued with the official match ball handover by the Chief Guest, Commissioner of Sports Mohamed Tholaal, marking the official start of the tournament.
