Baros Maldives Appoints Franz Alexander as New Executive Assistant Manager

Baros Maldives has boosted its management team with the recent appointment of Franz Alexander as Executive Assistant Manager. Mr. Alexander brings Baros a solid background in food and beverage, an area in which Baros excels.


Mr. Alexander who speaks fluent English, German and Spanish, is looking forward to utilising his extensive international knowledge of food and beverage and management to enhance the hospitality experience for guests at Baros.

A Swiss citizen, Mr. Alexander was educated in Guatemala before studying hospitality management for six years at the Swiss Hotel School in Lucerne. During this period, he did food and beverage internships in hotels in Switzerland and a year at the Swissotel in Beijing. 


From 2006 he worked at Hyatt Hotels in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Phuket rising to Director of Food and Beverage in Abu Dhabi. His position before joining Baros was as Executive Assistant Manager at Centara Grand, Bangkok.


Baros is a private, Maldivian-owned Island resort of 75 overwater and beachside garden and pool villas with three gourmet class restaurants, just 25 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport.
