MAYA Confirms Over 50,000 Visitors to Maldives

Maldives Association of Yacht Agents (MAYA) has confirmed that the Maldives will receive over 50,000 visitors through cruise liners next year.

MAYA has revealed that around 20 cruise liners will visit the Maldives and that each ship will bring about 3000 Passengers to the country.

The association further stated that a liner is scheduled to call at Male, the capital city of the Maldives every two weeks until the end of this year.



Pointing out the increase in the number of tourists visiting the country, the association highlighted the importance of introducing fine services that meet the demands of the visitors such as public toilet services and good jetties.

According to MAYA, visiting cruise liners helps to increase the number of tourism arrivals and generate more income revenue to the country.
