Dhiraagu has been awarded the title of “Maldives’ Broadband Telecom Company of the Year” at the 2024 Asian Telecom Awards. The awards program recognizes outstanding achievements within the region’s telecommunications industry, highlighting companies that drive digital transformation and innovation.

This award acknowledges Dhiraagu’s extensive efforts to expand and enhance the nation’s telecommunications and digital infrastructure. The company has successfully addressed the geographical challenges of the island nation, ensuring high-speed mobile and fiber broadband connectivity.

Dhiraagu’s commitment to connectivity is evident in its nationwide 4G broadband coverage, reaching all inhabited islands, resorts, and key industrial areas. Additionally, the company’s fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) service now covers 94% of households in the Maldives. Dhiraagu has also expanded its 5G coverage to reach 50% of the population.

The company’s network excellence has been further recognized by Ookla® Speedtest Awards™, which named Dhiraagu the “Fastest Mobile Network in the Maldives” for the third consecutive year.
