MATATO Opens Registration for CITE 2018

Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) is now accepting registration forms for Chengdu International Tourism Expo (CITE) 2018 which will be held from November 29 to December 1 at the Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Chengdu.

According to MATATO, registration for the international travel trade show will be open till October 11. Interested parties have been requested to submit a co-exhibitor registration form to MATATO.

Participation costs USD 1,500 for resorts, hotels and airlines, while guesthouses and travel agents have to pay USD 1,000. Every registered party will receive a two by two metre counter space along with one exhibitor badge but will have to pay USD 200 for every additional participant.

The Maldives stand will have four limited premium tables, each designed as cubicles with partitioned walls, two chairs and a table to hold meetings with buyers. A premium table can be booked for an extra USD 1,000.

Since its inception in 2012, CITE has become a globalised, diversified, influential event. It is being regarded by the industry professionals as one of the leading tourism trade shows in Western China.

​With strong governmental support from the Chengdu Municipal Tourism Administration, Tourism Administration of Sichuan Province, Sichuan Provincial Tourism Association and the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Exposition, CITE is dedicated to provide a one-stop platform for all the tourism organisations, tour operators, airlines and tourism destinations to promote a spectacular array of their latest tour packages, destinations, products and services; establish strategic and cooperative relations, explore new business opportunities and expand their professional network base all at once.

Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) is a non-profit organisation that has been working the last ten years to foster and promotes SMEs of local travel agents.

The association has engaged themselves in various activities over the years from advocacy, training, and workshops, travel trade fairs in many parts of the world, media FAM trips, government lobbying, recognition programs such as Awards, travel conferences and forums, publications, destination marketing, whistle-blower programs, representation and much more.
