Singapore Airlines (SIA) and SilkAir has announced to reinstate scheduled passenger services to Maldives during this December 2020.

With the new addition of routes to Johannesburg, Penang, Kathmandu, Dhaka in November and Male in December will bring the total number of destinations operated out from Singapore to 37. Furthermore, additional frequencies have been added to selected routes to its passenger network between October and December 2020.

By the end of December 2020, the Group’s passenger capacity is expected to reach approximately 15% of its pre-COVID-19 levels.

The airline notes that these schedules are subject to changes. However, customers will be informed of schedule changes via SMS and email. To receive flight updates via SMS and email, add your contact details in Manage Booking

Tourists arriving in the Maldives are to present a mandatory negative PCR test, along with a completed Traveler Health Declaration Form, submitted online via IMUGA (www.imuga.immigration.gov.mv) before arrival in the country. Further easing the process, Ministry of Tourism recently enforced the submission of a negative PCR test acquired 96 hours prior to take-off. Tests exceeding this time period are invalid and must be retaken.
