Maldives Border Miles Surpasses 100K Members!

Loyalty programme introduced to boost tourism, Maldives Border Miles has revealed that it has surpassed 100,000 members, exceeding their set target and reaching another milestone in the tourism industry among its various initiations to bounce back to pre-pandemic levels.  

Members of the three-tiered loyalty programme will earn points based on the on the number of visits and duration of stay, with additional points awarded for visits on celebrate special occasions. The three categories of the programme include: Aida (bronze tier), Antara (silver tier) and Abaarana (gold tier). Each tier is defined by a set variety of rewards, services or benefits, which increase in value as members progress. 

The programme was initiated by Maldives Immigration, and developed with joint stakeholders who joined the World Tourism Day 2021 ceremony; the Ministry of Tourism, Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) and Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).   

According to Maldives Immigration, more than 26 properties have signed as partners since its introduction on January 1, 2021. The programme offers discounted rewards and services to its members including free VIP services from selected properties and restaurants.  

Tourists who register for the programme before December 31, 2021, will be eligible for a lucky draw to win an all-inclusive USD7,000 worth holiday for two at You & Me by Cocoon Maldives.
