General chair for AI 2019 International Workshop and SKIMA 2019 Conference Professor Hassan Ugail, Director of Centre Visual Computing, University of Bradford, UK has decided to host the #AI (the international workshop in applied artificial intelligence) and SKIMA (International Conference on Software, Knowledge, Information Management & Applications) in Ukulhas, Maldives.

The #AI (The International Workshop in Applied Artificial Intelligence) and SKIMA (International Conference on Software, Knowledge, Information Management & Applications) are one of the international events sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and attended by scientists and researchers of academia and industry around the world. The event has been ongoing around the world on an annual basis since 2006 and has become a forum for researchers and practitioners to present cutting edge research and exchange ideas in the area of computer science. The planned event in 2019 will particularly focus in the area of applied artificial intelligence - the most important and disruptive development happening in our lifetime at present. As usual, the conference will be well attended by experts from distinct corners of the world, though this year it is planned to limit the number of papers to be presented at the conference to around 60.

This is the first time an event of this nature is hosted in Maldives itself.
