Around the world, coffee has been the beverage of choice for many “urban tribes,” creative types, freelancers, and pour-over junkies. It is one of the most common beverages around the world, available in a multitude of varieties.

Valerian Coffee Roasters located in Feydhoo, Addu City has a mission to bring artisan-roasted coffee beans with unique and amazing flavors to local households and businesses through their roastery. The mind and founder behind the brand, Nody had a strong fondness for coffee and has always been fascinated by its complex yet simple nature. During his various travels around the world with his wife and business partner, Valeria, after tasting dozens of splendid cups of coffee with a vast array of flavors, they started their journey.

Established in 2021, Valerian Coffee Roasters offer a variety of freshly roasted coffee beans from finest origins, including organic farms of Peru and Brazil, villages in Ethiopia, and volcano soils in Colombia. They use single origin, ethically sourced, Arabica beans to roast them to perfection and offer unique flavor profiles for clients with specific taste pallets. For those, seeking more consistent taste, the Roasters designed their custom espresso blends. The range of products in Valerian Coffee Roasters includes: mono-origin coffee beans, espresso blends, wonderfully aromatic drip coffee bags and thirst-quenching cold brew bottles.

While fairly new to the coffee scene in the Maldives, Nody has been working with coffee and learning the art of brewing and roasting for the past 10 years. He believes that coffee is more than just a beverage: it’s a culture, a community, a science – and a passion, and that in the vast world of coffee flavors, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
